Commissioner of Comelec Rowena GuanzonThe social media post with a scathing caption received jokes and humorous comments from Filipinos who claimed they could relate to his tweet.

On Monday, the Chief Returning Commissioner shared a photo of herself sitting in her office with the Philippine flag in the background.

“Madaming satsat, wala pa ring sinulat,” Guanzon wrote in the caption.

He has received over 25,000 likes, over 2,500 retweets and over 1,100 quote tweets to date.

Some Twitter users responded to the post by sharing scenarios in which Guanzon’s photo can be used as a reaction.

“My editor when he/she sees me active on Twitter”, a Filipino wrotequote tweeting Guanzon’s photo.

“My thesis director to me”, another online user wrote with clapping hands emoticons and a dazed face.

“Me on my order books”, a different Filipino joked.

One Twitter user commented that Guanzon’s tweet could be a “perfect meme for group projects”, especially berating other members for not contributing or doing their part.

Another Filipino said jokingly that the polling commissioner’s expression in the photo is similar to the supervisors’ reaction “when we start our message with ‘apologies for the delay'”.

“Very, very me to my upcoming works,” another online user tweeted.

Guanzon’s tweet refers to Comelec commissioner Aimee Ferolinothe ponente or the author of the decision on the case of disqualification against the presidential aspirant Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Guanzon accused the polling commissioner of deliberately delaying the publication of the resolution until his retirement so that his vote against the election bet would be invalidated.

According to Ferolino, she needs more time because she is looking at “three consolidated cases.”

“I carefully review all attached evidence and [understanding] the substance of these documents so that they are rightly appreciated in the process of writing the Ponencia,” she said in a memorandum sent to Guanzon on Monday.

Ferolino also accused Guanzon of “conditioning people’s minds that there is a delay”.

Guanzon later shared his photo on Twitter in response to Ferolino’s memo with a caption referring to the delay.
